This itinerary assumes nine nights and a Day 10 departure. A late arrival on Day 1 removes the neighborhood walk, not a major sight. An early Day 10 flight makes Incheon or an airport-area hotel more sensible for the final night.

Reserve the fixed parts first

Pack for station transfers

Day 1: ICN to Seoul without a hard deadline

Day 2: Historic Seoul in one compact area

Day 3: See the Seoul you came for

Day 5: Seoul to Gyeongju

Day 8: Busan to Seoul

Staying in a different Seoul district can make the return useful. A base near Seoul Station helps with rail and some ICN transfers; another district may suit your final shopping or Incheon day. Compare the hotel-to-airport route before you pay.
Day 9: Incheon beyond the runway
Use the final full day for Incheon if weather and energy allow. Choose one area:
- Open Port and Chinatown: compact streets, museums and food, with several indoor fallbacks.
- Wolmido: waterfront time paired with an indoor museum.
- Songdo: modern Incheon, parks and indoor cultural stops.

Day 10: Leave space for the airport
Check your airline's terminal in its booking or the official airport flight information. T1 and T2 are separate, and correcting a terminal mistake costs time. Follow your airline's check-in guidance and add more margin during holidays, severe weather or airport disruption.

Plan B
If the train you want is sold out
