What we save
When you send a message to Narin, we save your question, the answer, source links, the page where the conversation started, timestamps and any answer rating. We use these records to understand common questions, improve the guides and review answer quality.
Conversations are stored in our Cloudflare database. A first-party, HTTP-only session cookie identifies your browser so you can reopen and delete your chats. We do not ask for your name or email. Your message can still contain personal information, so please avoid sharing contact details, passport numbers, booking references or other private information.
How long chats are kept
Chats are available for 90 days from the start of each conversation. Expired records are excluded from viewing and exports and are removed by daily cleanup. Restricted provider backups may retain deleted records for their backup retention period.
How AI answers are prepared
To answer your question, we send it, up to four recent exchanges from the same chat, and relevant published guide passages to OrcaRouter and its model provider, currently DeepSeek. We do not send your session cookie or admin credentials. The model uses these passages to prepare an answer; Narin checks the cited evidence and may fall back to the guides when an answer cannot be verified.
OrcaRouter and the model provider process this information under their own policies. See OrcaRouter’s data-handling explanation, including its note about upstream providers. Our optional training permission controls our own reviewed datasets; it does not change a provider’s terms for processing requests.
We also keep content-free API usage records for up to 32 days to track tokens, reported costs and request limits. Deleting a chat removes its link to these records; it does not reset the site’s usage limit. These records do not contain questions or answers.
View or delete your chats
Choose Saved chats in any Narin chat on this browser. You can reopen a conversation, delete one conversation, or delete all saved chats from this browser. Deletion also removes its ratings and reviewed examples from our active database.
New chat starts a separate conversation; it does not delete previous chats. Clearing cookies prevents this browser from accessing earlier chats, but does not immediately delete them from the database. They still expire on schedule. Downloads already held by the site operator require separate deletion.
Model training is optional
Your conversations are not eligible for model training unless you select the optional training checkbox. You can change this choice in a saved conversation. Turning it off removes its reviewed examples from future training and evaluation exports.
Permission alone does not approve an example: a reviewer must check the answer against its sources and remove personal information before it is included in a dataset. Saving or approving an example does not automatically train or update the model.
Who can access the archive
The site operator can review conversations through a protected administration page. Conversation records are not public, and visitors cannot access another browser’s archive. Chat storage does not give Narin permission to follow instructions outside the guides.
