Is your layover long enough?
IIAC limits participation to layovers of 24 hours or less but does not publish one minimum connection time for every course. As checked September 10, 2026, the reservation form requires scheduled arrival at least 90 minutes before the course and scheduled departure at least 90 minutes after it. These are booking-system thresholds, not proof that a connection leaves enough time.
Use this as a conservative planning default:

Estimate the usable margin by subtracting deplaning, immigration, baggage and customs if needed, terminal travel, the 30-minute reporting period, tour duration, departure security and immigration, the gate walk and the airline's boarding cutoff from the scheduled layover.
Follow the earliest applicable document-check, check-in, bag-drop or boarding cutoff set by your airline. If the remaining margin cannot absorb an inbound delay or queue, keep the layover at the airport.

Confirm the duration and terminal
IIAC's English Sinpo card says five hours, while its Korean catalogue, the 15:00–18:00 interval and live booking results indicate three hours. Confirm the departure terminal in your dated reservation result; the general catalog does not establish availability at both terminals on your day.
The reservation calendar may include courses that do not appear in the general catalog. Read the exact route, terminal, price and return time before booking.
If the catalogue and date search disagree, use the exact row and terminal in the reservation confirmation, then ask the desk about anything the row does not explain.
Which course fits your goal?
- Choose Royal Heritage for a palace and central Seoul, while allowing for one of the longest road schedules in the standard catalogue.
- Choose an Incheon route when the listed stops interest you; it still uses group road transport and the published duration already includes the return.
- Choose a market course for browsing. A market or ramen stop does not mean food is included.
- Recheck security access for DMZ and Aegibong, ferry and weather conditions for the seaside route, and the operating status of every outdoor stop.

In-airport activity and paid golf programs
The course page lists a free 30-minute K-Culture Zone in the T1 East 4F Transit Lounge, with published hours of 09:00–20:00. The current IIAC facility record instead stores 07:30–15:30, so confirm the operating hours on the day. It is airside and does not involve a road tour.

The golf cards display package prices while also describing green fees, cart fees and equipment rental as free, so the billing structure is unclear. Confirm the total, inclusions, reservation path and pickup through the links on the current course page.
Entry and immigration checks
Passengers taking an off-airport course register landside after immigration, so you need a lawful basis to enter Korea. Visa-free entry, K-ETA, a temporary K-ETA exemption and any transit-without-visa route depend on the passport, itinerary, residence status and travel date.
Use the Korea Visa Navigator for the current official path, then confirm itinerary-specific boarding requirements with the operating airline. A Transit Tour reservation is not border permission, and the immigration officer makes the admission decision.
The IIAC Transit Tour Guide also warns that the Ministry of Justice does not allow two entries into Korea during one visit. IIAC does not explain how the rule applies to each itinerary. If you have already entered Korea during the connection or the plan appears to require a second entry, contact the tour desk and airline before reserving.
Before choosing the normal airside transfer-security route, ask transfer staff how to reach immigration and the landside desk for your actual gate and terminal. How to reserve and find a walk-in seat
Use the official reservation page, choose the exact date and terminal, and read the course row before entering passenger details.
As checked September 10, 2026, the interface accepts online reservations from 40 days until two days before the course. This is current interface behavior, not a permanent promise. Inventory changes continuously, and each adult, child and infant/toddler selected counts against the remaining online allocation.
IIAC says less than half of the total course space is allocated online. An online sellout may therefore leave first-come, first-served places on arrival, but it does not guarantee a walk-in seat. The waiting-list result is decided using participation status 30 minutes before departure.
The public pages do not publish a Transit Tour cancellation deadline or delayed-flight rebooking policy. Retrieve the booking through “Check your Reservations” with the member account or reservation number and email. If the detail screen offers no cancellation control, contact the appropriate terminal desk. Do not apply K-Stopover's separate refund policy.
Save the reservation confirmation offline and carry a paper copy. Confirm the course name, terminal, start and return time, passenger count, price and reporting point before travel.
Registration desks at T1, T2 and the Concourse
The main Transit Tour desks are on 1F landside after immigration. IIAC's current facility records display service hours of 07:00–18:00, but the course confirmation and 30-minute reporting deadline control your appointment.

Cross-terminal travel after entry consumes part of the connection. IIAC does not state that every course includes cross-terminal travel before registration. Reserve only after airport or airline staff confirm that you can reach the terminal shown in the live row. Use the IIAC Transfer Guide, Concourse to T1 instructions and Concourse to T2 instructions to understand the controlled route, then ask staff before leaving that route for immigration.
Documents, boarding passes and baggage
Bring your passport and boarding passes for both the arriving and departing flights. The reservation form also collects one full name, nationality and email for the booking; the flight dates, times and numbers; and adult, child and infant/toddler counts.
If the onward airline cannot issue the boarding pass before travel, ask where and when it will be issued and whether that timing still meets the tour desk's requirement. Keep the itinerary, reservation and any entry document available offline.
IIAC does not publish a Transit Tour luggage allowance, coach-storage rule, size limit or liability policy. Ask the desk about suitcases, large cabin bags, strollers and mobility devices before booking.
Check the destination printed on every bag tag. If a checked bag ends at ICN, include immigration, baggage claim, customs, storage or recheck, terminal movement and departure processing in the margin. Never leave baggage unattended. Prices, meals and payment
Many standard routes are labelled free. Royal Heritage displays $3 at Gyeongbokgung, DMZ displays $4 at the Third Tunnel, and the Green Lovers alternative displays $4 at Seoul Botanic Park. The special golf tours display prices in Korean won.
IIAC does not publish one complete table covering transport, guide, insurance, meals, personal purchases, child costs, attraction admissions and payment methods. A market, shopping or ramen-themed stop does not establish an included meal. Check the live course and confirmation for any stated inclusions; if either is silent, ask the Transit Tour desk before relying on an item being included, and carry a payment method suitable for personal purchases.

Families and accessibility
The reservation form has separate adult, child and infant/toddler fields, and every selected traveler counts against the remaining online seats. It does not define the age bands.
The public Transit Tour pages do not state a minimum age or publish rules for child seats, boosters, strollers, feeding, toilet breaks or adult supervision. Ask the desk to confirm the exact course and vehicle before reserving with a child.
IIAC also publishes no tour-specific guarantee for a wheelchair-accessible coach, lift or ramp, mobility-device storage, accessible toilets, stop terrain, walking pace or permission to remain on the vehicle. The airport's mobility-assistance page covers terminal services, not the tour coach and attractions.
Ask the desk to confirm the registration route, vehicle steps or lift, wheelchair and stroller storage, walking surfaces, accessible toilets, rest timing and the accommodations you need. A request entered in the form's “Special instruction” field is not confirmed until staff reply.
Weather, delays and missing the group
IIAC says programs may change without notice. The catalogue gives two specific examples: Changdeokgung replaces the closed Gyeongbokgung on Tuesday, and Green Lovers at Seoul Botanic Park may replace a course in rain or snow.
No public Transit Tour page gives a universal weather threshold, ferry wind policy, DMZ or security closure policy, compensation rule or delayed-flight protection. Recheck the live result and desk after landing.
If the inbound flight or immigration queue makes you miss the 30-minute report deadline, IIAC can release the booking to the waiting list. Ask about another course only when the complete flight margin still works. If you miss the final group meeting point away from the airport, IIAC states that you are responsible for arranging the fastest return.

Day-of checklist
- Recheck the inbound flight, onward terminal and boarding cutoff before leaving the origin airport.
- Confirm the destination on each checked-bag tag and how the onward boarding pass will be issued.
- Open the live course row and saved confirmation; check the terminal, time, reporting point and any change.
- Ask transfer staff for the correct immigration route before entering a controlled transfer path.
- Clear immigration only when entry eligibility and the complete timing still work.
- Go directly to the correct 1F desk with the passport and both boarding passes.
- Report at least 30 minutes before the course and follow the guide's meeting instructions at every stop.
- After the return, proceed to departure security, immigration and the gate using the airline's cutoff.
Plan B
Use Plan B when the inbound flight is late, immigration takes too long, the booking is released or sold out, the T2 counter cannot be resolved quickly, or weather and security change the course.

K-Stopover is a different product for stays of 24–72 hours. Its hotel, transport, lounge or voucher benefits, desk information, deposit and refund rules do not apply to the Transit Tour.
For a disrupted or overnight connection, build a rest plan around the terminal you can reach. Check the layover guide before crossing immigration or changing terminals.
Check before traveling
Keep your reservation and onward flight details available offline.
- Confirm entry, K-ETA and arrival requirements for your passport and itinerary, plus baggage collection or recheck and onward boarding-pass issuance.
- Use the dated reservation for the exact course, terminal, price, start and return time. Check the T2 counter through your confirmation, current signs or the tour desk.
- Ask the desk about luggage, strollers, mobility access and child restraints before relying on a tour that requires them. Confirm what admission, meals and purchases cost separately.
- Check weather and route substitutions, preserve time for the return flight and keep an airside fallback. Use the saved reservation to retrieve cancellation controls or contact the desk.
