Old posts that call the four airside showers free are outdated. A March 2024 airport article said they were free and did not include towels; the newer live IIAC records say paid and towel included.

Choose by access zone before you walk

The four main shower rooms are in the duty-free area, after departure processing or on an eligible transfer route. SPA at Home and Darakhyu are in the public area, outside security and immigration.

The four airside shower rooms

The current IIAC T1 facility results and T2 facility results publish the same core service for all four locations.

IIAC does not publish the current amount, payment methods, last admission or a cleaning timetable. T1 listings show the airport contact number 1577-2600; T2 listings do not show a direct shower-room number. Ask an airside information desk before crossing to the other side of a terminal.

Terminal 1: Gate 25 or Gate 29

Use the east shower near Gate 25 when your route is on the lower-numbered side and the west shower near Gate 29 when it saves walking. Both are on 4F, one level above the main gate floor. “Gate 25” and “Gate 29” are landmarks; your flight does not need to depart from either gate.

The terminal is long enough that a queue at the first room does not automatically make the other room a good bet. Ask staff for the live status before walking across T1.

Terminal 2: Gate 231 or Gate 268

The west room near Gate 231 and east room near Gate 268 sit at opposite ends of T2. Start with the one on the same side as the onward gate. Recheck the gate after the shower because assignments can change.

Neither T2 record publishes a direct phone. The general airport customer center and the nearest information desk are the official contacts.

Concourse: no general shower is currently listed

The current IIAC Concourse results show lounges but no stand-alone passenger shower room. This does not rule out every private lounge facility, but it means an ordinary Concourse shower should not be part of a fixed plan.

Follow the official transfer route. Some internal shuttle-train movements are controlled and cannot simply be reversed. Do not ride one only to search for a shower.

Landside SPA at Home in T1 and T2

SPA at Home, formerly identified as Spa On Air in older airport material, is a Korean bathhouse and rest facility in the public area. IIAC lists a branch on T1 B1 east and another on T2 B1 west. Both are tagged 24H, with a daily 23:30–00:00 preparation break.

Babies under 36 months are free. The T1 and T2 operator pages also publish ₩5,000 for each overtime hour. The current T1 price board and T2 price board show ₩12,000; a November 2025 VisitKorea article still shows the superseded ₩11,000 price. Check the operator again before relying on the amount.

This is not a private hotel room. The wet areas are separated for men and women. The rest side has male, female and shared or family sleeping zones, but no hotel-style private sleeping spaces. The T1 operator says mixed bathing is prohibited from 48 months; the T2 English page says over 48 months. A solo parent traveling with a child of another sex should call before paying.

SPA at Home follows Korean bathhouse customs. Guests change and bathe without clothing in the sex-separated wet area; spa clothes are worn in the shared rest area. The government-run VisitKorea guide to Korean spas explains that sequence and identifies both airport branches.

Both operator pages describe first-come admission, and entry may stop when the facility is full. Food is not allowed inside, but guests may leave for a meal; the T1 FAQ allows beverages. The T2 page publishes two towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, skin-care basics, cotton swabs and a hair dryer as included. T1 publishes a similar core supply list, although a few free-versus-sale items differ.

T2 allows one suitcase per guest during the stay, with ₩5,000 for each additional bag. Both branches advertise coat storage at ₩10,000 for four days, then ₩2,500 per additional day or night. IIAC lists suitcase storage at T1, but the T1 operator site does not publish the same bag allowance and extra-bag price. Confirm T1 suitcase storage before arriving with a large case.

T2 Darakhyu: the simplest landside shower-only alternative

Darakhyu T2 is in the Transportation Center on B1, normal area. Its current FAQ says a non-hotel guest can buy a shower for ₩10,000 per person for one hour, only at the T2 branch. The facility page lists ten independent shower rooms, open 24 hours, next to reception, with soap, shampoo, a towel and a hair dryer.

The operator's facilities page still shows ₩8,000, while its FAQ says ₩10,000. Budget the higher figure and confirm at reception. The phone is 032-743-5008.

Darakhyu T1 has shared showers for guests whose room does not contain a shower. The operator FAQ expressly limits non-guest shower-only purchase to T2, so do not travel to T1 Darakhyu without a room booking.

Lounge and hotel alternatives

Use a lounge shower only when you already qualify for or intend to buy lounge entry. A shower queue can close before the lounge does.

The Matina operator page says only T1 Matina East has the shower; do not assume T1 West does. At T2, the shower is in Matina Gold, not the ordinary Matina lounge near Gate 252. IIAC says Gate 249 and Walkerhill says Gate 250, so use the Gate 249/250 area and follow current signs.

Asiana moved all of its ICN flights to T2 on January 14, 2026. Its current T2 lounge guide directs eligible Asiana passengers to Korean Air Prestige lounges near Gates 218, 248, 253 and 281 and lists shower service. Codeshare passengers should check the terminal of the operating flight. Lounge entry still does not promise an immediate shower slot.

For a narrow arrival benefit, Korean Air currently offers eligible same-day arriving Korean Air international First and Prestige passengers, plus defined codeshare passengers, access to the Hyatt Regency Incheon sauna from 06:00–11:00, subject to its boarding-pass benefit rules. This requires a boarding pass and ID, uses the hotel shuttle and is not a general airport shower. The sauna normally closes on the second Tuesday of each month. Check the hotel's current closure notice before using the shuttle.

Towels, toiletries and luggage

The four airside rooms now include a towel and “amenities.” IIAC does not define the full kit, so bring a toothbrush, deodorant and any product you cannot do without. Pack liquids for the next security check if you are landside.

SPA at Home and T2 Darakhyu publish more detailed supply lists, but a temporary stockout is possible. Shower sandals and a waterproof bag for wet items are sensible even when soap and towels are supplied.

Keep your passport, boarding pass, phone, wallet and medicine with you. The airside records do not explain locker size or large-bag handling. A landside traveler who needs to leave a suitcase can compare the listed counters in our Incheon Airport luggage-storage guide.

Families and accessibility

The four airside records do not publish a family-room, child, opposite-sex caregiver or accessible-stall policy. General airport accessibility does not prove that a specific shower has a roll-in threshold, seat or grab rails.

If the shower must be accessible, contact IIAC or the operator and ask about the exact room, step-free route, doorway, shower seat, grab rails, hand-held shower, emergency call and caregiver admission. The IIAC accessibility page confirms wheelchair and terminal-assistance services, but not the shower layout.

SPA at Home has sex-separated bathing areas and a shared family rest zone, not a family shower. Darakhyu says it has no family room. A booked Transit Hotel family room is the clearest airside private option, subject to terminal access and availability.

Build a realistic time buffer

A 30-minute shower is not a 30-minute detour. Add the walk, payment, queue, changing, drying, repacking and the return to the gate. The airport does not publish a dependable queue or a single walking time that fits every gate.

Before joining a line:

Recheck the onward gate and boarding time.
Ask for the wait, last admission and any cleaning pause.
Set two alarms, one for leaving the shower and one for walking back.
Keep clothes and documents in separate waterproof bags.
Leave if the wait begins to consume the gate buffer.

Plan B: when the shower is closed or full

Ask the nearest official information desk for the closest open option before crossing the terminal. If you are already airside, do not leave the secure zone for a spa unless your itinerary permits the full immigration and departure process. If you are landside in T2, compare Darakhyu with SPA at Home. In T1, SPA at Home is the listed pay-to-enter shower and bath option for non-hotel guests.

When no shower fits the flight buffer, use a restroom washbasin without blocking accessible fixtures or leaving water on the floor. Change clothes, use a damp cloth and return to the gate. live queue, working stalls, last admission and an unplanned cleaning or maintenance closure;
the precise airside amenity stock if a missing item would matter;
accessible-stall features and caregiver admission;
family or child rules at the chosen shower;
SPA at Home and Darakhyu capacity, temporary closure and current counter price;
lounge eligibility, shower waiting list and early cutoff;
walking time from the actual gate and live security or immigration delay;
safe storage for a large cabin bag or other unusual item.

Frequently asked questions

Are showers at Incheon Airport free?

No current official listing describes the four general airside shower rooms as free. IIAC says each is a paid 30-minute service with a towel and amenities. It does not publish the won amount online.

Where are the Terminal 1 showers?

The airside T1 showers are on 4F near Gates 25 and 29, open 05:00–23:00. Landside, SPA at Home is on B1 east. Darakhyu T1 does not sell shower-only entry to non-guests.

Where are the Terminal 2 showers?

The airside T2 showers are on 4F near Gates 231 and 268, open 05:00–23:00. Landside, SPA at Home is on B1 west. Darakhyu T2 in the Transportation Center sells a one-hour non-guest shower visit.
